Olson is 4-for-12 in his career against Morton, and he fits the Chapman bill of hunting homers for the Oakland hitters. Olson has the best raw power in this game, so he’s worth a shot at a decent price.FLEX OF Ramon Laureano, Athletics ($8,200)Laureano deserves this price, and it’s just too bad standout plays in center field don’t add bonus points. That’s fine, as Laureano can run and hit for power with the best of them. He’s a tame 2-for-8 against Morton, but all it takes is one explosive at-bat for Laureano to provide a big boost to our lineup. DraftKings Showdown Picks: Rays vs. A’sCAPTAIN (1.5x points, 1.5x price): 3B Matt Chapman, Athletics ($11,100)Chapman’s average was down this year, but as you’ll see from our Oakland bats in this lineup, the best approach to absolutely dominate a Showdown tournament is to hit homers. Chapman can do that with some of the best players in baseball. This postseason could be his national breakout, and it’ll start with a big hit or two on Wednesday.FLEX P Sean Manaea, Athletics ($10,400)Against the current Rays’ roster in his career, Manaea has allowed a .620 OPS, well below average. Tampa Bay will be forced to start some lefty batters against the southpaw Manaea due to roster construction, so there should be an advantage there, too. Manaea matches up better with the Rays than Charlie Morton does with the A’s, so Manaea is the pitcher we’re going with. FLEX SS Willy Adames, Rays ($5,600)The power-speed combo of Adams is good enough to provide some upside at this price, and he has the favorable platoon advantage against Manaea and a couple of the A’s potential long relievers, A.J. Puk and Jesus Luzardo. He might be highly owned because of his price, but it will help fit the rest of this together, so that’s fine. FLEX C/1B Travis D’Arnaud, Rays ($6,800)Small-sample size alert, but d’Arnaud is 2-for-2 career against Manaea. He’s been an unsung hero for the Rays after joining them earlier in the season, and no matter where in the field he starts for this game, he’ll need to hit for Tampa to have a chance. FLEX 1B Matt Olson, Athletics ($7,800) The AL Wild Card Game pits two of the smallest markets in baseball against each other as Tampa Bay faces off with Oakland. Unlike the NL Wild Card Game, there will be two aces on the mound in Charlie Morton and Sean Manaea. Both teams have a ton of young talent that will surely introduce itself to casual baseball fans. If you’re looking to take part in an MLB DFS contest, we can help with our DraftKings Showdown picks. We’re leaning toward A’s in our lineup, and that’s largely because we like Manaea’s matchup better than Morton’s. He won’t be our captain, though — that honor goes to the underpriced Matt Chapman, who should shine under the bright lights and has a great shot of lifting a ball out of the ballpark.
