Disciplinary action to follow after U19 player loses and uses his head AFTER red cards

first_imgWednesday Oct 3, 2018 Disciplinary action to follow after U19 player loses and uses his head AFTER red cards The Western Province rugby union has confirmed that they are looking into the nasty incident that saw two players involved in an ugly brawl after they were red carded in an U19 match.ADVERTISEMENTTwo outside backs got in a scuffle after Eastern Province under-19 fullback Dylan le Roux made a legal try-saving tackle on Western Province under-19 winger, Christian Ambadiang. The Cameroon-born winger appeared to lash out at le Roux before the two got in a scuffle as le Roux held his leg. Ambadiang then pushed le Roux and le Roux punched him, dropping him momentarily.Once everything had settled down, the referee sent both players from the field, but the nastiness wasn’t over as Ambadiang then headbutted le Roux, causing another big ruckus.WP went on to win the match 48-17 but the fall out has been large, with footage being shared far and wide on social media. The Western Province rugby union has promised to take action after an investigation into the incident.“We’ll follow the correct procedures. As the match falls under the auspices of the SA Rugby Union, there is a disciplinary process that WP and the player will follow,” said a WP spokesman. “We take foul play and violent behaviour very seriously and an internal disciplinary process will also take place at WP.”ADVERTISEMENTLonger clip below (with some possible audio issues) Posted By: rugbydump Share Send Thanks Sorry there has been an error Big Hits & Dirty Play , See it to Believe it Related Articles 25 WEEKS AGO Suspensions handed down after testicle grabbing… 26 WEEKS AGO The ‘double ruffle’ splits opinion with fans… 26 WEEKS AGO WATCH: The nastiest and most brutal moments… From the WebThis Video Will Soon Be Banned. More than 100 kids on pre-K waiting list in Hoboken

first_imgHOBOKEN — According to Superintendent of Schools Christine Johnson, the district’s state-funded pre-K3 and pre-K4 classes are completely full for the coming year, and there are 140 students on the “pending placement” list (a.k.a the wait list). The district received funding to provide free pre-school to 885 students, based on the previous year’s first grade enrollment figures. The funds are given to approximately 30 school districts in the state based on a series of state Supreme Court decisions in the 1970s through 1990s meant to make sure kids in poorer school districts received the same “thorough and efficient” education as those in wealthier districts. The district is required to provide certain programs including full-day kindergarten and pre-school.As more families have begun staying in Hoboken, the program has been increasingly popular. Each spring, the district holds a lottery system for student placement. Lower-income families who qualify for Head Start, children with special needs, and children whose sibling is already in the district receive priority.Johnson said there are no special needs, low-income students, or siblings on the wait list. She said typically, the list has been between 90 and 150 students long. She said if families move away, seats open up.“We already placed about 24 children who were on the waiting list into seats vacated by families who either moved out of the district or who have decided to send their child elsewhere,” said Johnson. But the list climbed back to the original number of 140 as 24 new families moved into town. She said the list is updated twice a month, roughly on the 15th and 30th, and families are given a student ID number so they can track where they are on the list.“It was really important to me that we make the process as transparent as possible,” said Johnson, who added that this is the second year the list was made available online for families to view. She said families on the list shouldn’t lose hope of being placed throughout the year. For more on this story, check out the next edition of the Hoboken Reporter, to be delivered around town starting this Thursday and Friday. Rockets free agency rumors: Houston may consider signing Kevon Looney, Jeremy Lamb, 4 others

first_imgThe Rockets seem to have a backup plan if they don’t land Jimmy Butler.Houston’s top priority this offseason is reportedly acquiring the wing in a sign-and-trade with the 76ers. But, the Rockets are prepared for other scenarios. Houston may target some combination of Danny Green, Jeremy Lamb, Al-Farouq Aminu, DeAndre Jordan, Brook Lopez and Kevon Looney if Butler chooses to return to Philadelphia or heads elsewhere, according to a report from The Athletic, which cites an unidentified source with knowledge of the team’s plan.Lamb had a career-year last season with the Hornets while Green knocked down 45.5% of his shots from behind the arc as the Raptors took home the championship. Aminu is a versatile defender who can play either forward position. Related News Jordan has regressed in recent seasons, but still can protect the rim and rebound. Lopez can stretch the floor from the center position and Looney became a reliable contributor with the Warriors in 2018-19.The Rockets have been under scrutiny this offseason as a report surfaced that said guard Chris Paul requested a trade because his relationship with star James Harden was “unsalvageable.” Paul, however, denied that report earlier this week. NBA trade rumors: Celtics have ‘checked in’ with Rockets about potential deal for Clint Capela Jimmy Butler rumors: Rockets will ‘push’ 76ers to complete sign-and-trade for wing “I never asked for a trade,” Paul said Sunday, via the Houston Chronicle. “I never demanded a trade. … I’ll be in Houston. I’m happy about that. I’m very happy about that. I’m good.”The Rockets finished 2018-19 with a 53-29 record but fell to the Warriors in six games in the Western Conference semifinals.
