UL Seeks More Scholarships Abroad

first_imgThe vice president for Institutional Development and Planning at the University of Liberia, Dr. Walter T. Wiles leaves the Country today for Ghana to represent the President of the University of Liberia, Prof. Dr. Emmet A. Dennis.“I am also carrying 4 applications for Teaching Assistants who want to do Masters in Engineering and 5 in Library Science,” Dr. Wiles said.He said his trip to Ghana will take him to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Cape Coast University and the University of Ghana in Legon.At these universities, Dr Wiles said he will hold talks with supervisors of University of Liberia scholarship students studying at these institutions to ascertain the performance and challenges.“We are principally going to Ghana to talk to our scholarship students’ supervisors in the various universities to know how they are coping with their studies and to seek for enrollment for 9 of our Teaching Assistants.”Under the EHELD program, several UL personnel are in Ghana studying.  He also disclosed that he will be travelling with Dr. Charles Mulbah of Cuttington University.Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)last_img read more

first_img1 Arsenal target Jackson Martinez is close to a move to AC Milan this summer, according to the Colombian star’s agent.As talkSPORT told you earlier this month, the 28-year-old is ready to leave Porto and the Portuguese giants are prepared to cash in on their prized asset if his £25m buyout clause is met.Martinez has two years left to run on his contract at the Estadio do Dragao and is viewed as hot property across Europe.The Gunners and Manchester City have been linked with the prolific striker but Martinez’s agent is “optimistic” a deal will be completed with the San Siro side in the next few days.“I am optimistic on Jackson’s move to Milan, but we’re not quite there yet,” agent Luiz Henrique Pompeo told EuroStadio.it in an interview.“There is a good possibility we’ll conclude the transfer, but we are not yet at the all-clear moment.”He added: “What I can say with certainty is that Martinez is a player worthy of a top club and Milan have history.
